Safely operating your Fire Pit

There is no doubt that Fire Pits add coziness and elegance to your outdoor space, but since we’re talking about fire and its risks it is important to keep safety first so you can fully enjoy it!

Some things to keep in mind before everything else are:

  • ALWAYS keep a fire extinguisher handy and make sure it is in good working condition and not close to its expiration date;

  • Check if the chosen place for the Fire Pit has proper ventilation and;

  • Avoid placing your fire pit near hanging branches or on an unsteady surface.

With that in mind, take a look at these simple operating tips we brought:

  • Start your fire small and only use the recommended fire starters. Never use gasoline or any other inflammable product to start a fire;

  • Never leave the fire unattended, especially when there are kids nearby;

  • Use screens for protection from wind and to prevent sparks from flying out and avoid using a fire pit when it is very windy;

  • After operating the Fire Pit, ALWAYS make sure that the fire was completely extinguished and;

  • Do not store the coals or wood in bags right away – the material will still be too hot and can also cause a fire if placed close to inflammable objects.

Fire Pits look and are safe, but fire can cause huge damage if not handled correctly. To avoid any risks and accidents, always follow the manufacturers orientation, and don’t hesitate to call for help if you have any questions!
